verey helpful staff, good location wonderful views of the sea.
Beds at the 'Superior' room where we were relocated were very comfortable and the room was large
The room booked was 'Delux', but we were given a small twin room at arrival which had nothing similar to the large room at the photo when I booked it. We checked in around midnight, so I addressed this next morning. I was advised that the room I thought I was booking (and shown at the photo) was 'Superior Delux'. But, fortunatly, there were vacant Superior for the next night so we relocated. Breakfast was not of the level for 4 star hotel, it was just chip standard full English. There were no yogurts, no salmon, 3 chip cheeses and 3 chip meats. Water for tea was served in cattles where coffee was previosly, disgusting. We had to wait 10 minutes for our eggs to be fried! On the next morning we waited another 10 minutes for the same, but eggs came overcooked, almost solid! So if you are dreaming about relaxing weeked at the sea side, this not the place for it!
The comfort of the bed in the room it was excellent. Great size and my son had a double sofa bed for himself. The pool facilities excellent we used them everyday. The staff we all very friendly and helpful. Parking at the hotel was very convient and easy to use. It was also very quiet at night we really enjoyed our stay here.
We stayed here because my partner was on a course in Sunderland, I stayed at the hotel and used the leisure facilities, the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Very well done to the staff for their customer service!
Reception area was a bit dark.
Very ideal in location convenient to all modes of transport, very clean and hospitable staff and children enjoyed the leisure facilities.
The rooms were wonderful - everything I needed for my weekend away (including an iron and trouser press).
Meals in restaurant slightly expensive.
The staff were superb with excellent customer service
The rooms were really comfortable, with everything you need. The staff were very courteous, approachable, helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. We had a really relaxed stay.
The only one thing I would say is that I would really have loved bath robes.
very comfortable ,spacious room, friendly staff, relaxing stay.
We were really looked after by the local staff nothing was a trouble to them. Comfy bed, lovely sea view room, with tea and coffee facilities. Wonderful lunch and evening meal. Gorgeous weather. Quick checkout. Great.
We stayed here for 3 nights b+b, staff all very friendly, especially Karen who works in the bar/lounge area. Rooms spacious and clean, it was very warm when we stayed but fan already in room which was on constantly and absolute god send!!!! Location perfect, right over road from beach, went to beamish and diggerland both about half hour drive + easy to get to from hotel.Pool great for kids and adults. Food was excellent, good choice for breakfast, although bar meals maybe a little on expensive side but doesn't seem to matter so much when the taste so good, they do a meal deal - £8 for starter + main -absolute steal at that price not too much choice but what there is really tasty. Would definately stay here again.
We were in rm225 overlooking carpark but also rear entrances to adjacent restaurants etc, bit noisy early mornings, thankfully didn't go on for too long. Would book sea front if we could next time.
All the staff are very frendly.
It could do with better controls of the heating system in the bedroom and public places.
loved the spacious room and comfort also breakfast service was second to none
no free wi-fi after paying highish prices
The whole suite and the queen size bed
The staff were so friendly and accommodating. bed was so comfy and lovely quiet room
The restaurant/bar should have a more varied menu - plain and simple food. Also there were no information maps for the area..
